Things I hate about Filipino culture - by Jenny Linares

Things I hate about Filipino culture
by Jenny Linares

1. Tactless culture.

5. Pa-star culture. Kahit naghihirap, makapagpasikat lang sa kapitbahay, todo-bigay.

6. Lasenggo culture. Kahit walang makain, basta may lalaklakin. Dahilan ng pagiging dysfunctional ng maraming pamilyang Pilipino.

7. Adik culture.

iDefend's Statement on Marcos burial's 1st anniversary

November 18, 2017 Press Statement
One year after the treacherous burial of a former dictator and a plunderer at the Libingan ng mga Bayani (LNMB), iDEFEND (In Defense of Human Rights and Dignity Movement) continues to rage against the whitewash, if not, outright reversal of the bloody record of Marcos’ Martial Law.
The burial marks ground zero of Duterte’s design to amass further power, beyond that which is accorded to him by the 1987 Constitution.
Burying him in a cemetery of heroes does not make a hero out of a dictator. His act to bury a dictator in the LNMB, made legal by the Supreme Court, contravenes the Filipino people’s judgement of the Marcoses and their legacy of violence, plunder and corruption three decades ago.
President Duterte is resurrecting the dark days of the martial law by marking his first year with thousands of extrajudicial killings, allowing the entrenchment of new cronies and barrelling through with anti-people economic programs. Rather than promised change, these …

"A revolution is a struggle to the death between the past and the future." ~ Fidel Castro of Cuba (13 August 1926 - 25 November 2016) "They talk about the failure of socialism but where is the success of capitalism in Africa, Asia and Latin America?" ~ Fidel Castro of Cuba (13 August 1926 - 25 November 2016) "Men do not shape destiny, Destiny produces the man for the hour." ~ Fidel Castro of Cuba (13 August 1926 - 25 November 2016)

Four-way test in using our books

Imahe

Four-way test in using our books
1. Dapat ba nating panatilihing maayos at malinis ang bookshelf?
4. Dapat ba nating pangalagaan ang mga libro?

Kung ang iyong sagot sa lahat ng tanong ay HINDI, HINDI KA MAAARING GUMAMIT O HUMIRAM NG LIBRO. Maraming salamat.
